control is critical in certain applications such as those found in the
papermaking industry and cooling water systems. The long-desired product is one
that provides enhanced biofilm control through the
stabilization of the active ingredient, providing fast-kill
to planktonic bacteria, reduced corrosion and is a product that is easy-to-use.
Bardac™ LF 18-50 WT
cost-effective way to manage the algae growth found in systems as well as to
clean the systems. The Bardac™ LF 18-50 WT product is synergistic with
oxidizing biocides and prevents algae growth, lowering the need for halogens.
Bardac™ LF 18-50 WT also improves the performance of scale and corrosion
inhibitors. It is also synergistic with stabilized oxidizing biocides, as it
acts as a complementary algaecide in multifunctional formulated products due to
its compatibility with anionic compounds such as scale dispersants.
LF 18-50 WT is water soluble and is a product solution that is not a dermal
sensitizer. Its low-foaming tendency compared to other regular ADBAC-based
products makes it easier to use in recirculating systems such as cooling towers and decorative fountains.

Carboshield™ 1000E product is comprised of a blend of didecyl dimethyl ammonium
carbonate and didecyl dimethyl ammonium bicarbonate. Unlike traditional
chloride quaternaries, this non-chloride QAC provides excellent corrosion
inhibition properties on steel, aluminum, iron, brass and copper.
It can be
used as a cationic surfactant, a thin film forming corrosion inhibitor or a
wetting/dispersion agent. It is hard-water tolerant and requires little or no
additional sequestering agents for effective performance. The Carboshield™
1000E product is compatible with numerous nonionic surfactants as well as many
dyes and fragrances.
- To be dosed via dosing pumps
- Forms a film on metal surfaces as a protective barrier,
helping to reduce pitting corrosion
Can be formulated with oxygen scavengers where it requires
a neutral to slightly basic formulation (buffer)
- Non-corrosive chemical as there is no typical chloride
pitting like traditional quaternary amines
- Water miscible and can be emulsified in oil
- Amenable to aqueous (freshwater and seawater) and
- Exhibits effective inhibition properties for steel,
aluminum, iron, brass and copper
Can be used in the oil and gas industry
- Product packaging sizes: available in drums or IBC’s
The Uniquat™ 2280 product shows a broad spectrum of activity
against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria and is also effective on
fungi and viruses, including those that are enveloped. Showing a high tolerance
to hard water (above 350ppm), it remains active in the presence of heavy
organic soiling. Its impressive surfactant and wetting properties make it one
of the multipurpose biocides of choice for cooling systems and swimming pool
water treatment as part of formulations.
This Uniquat™ 2280 product displays synergistic effects in
combination with aldehydes and complexing agents, such as EDTA, but is
incompatible with anionic detergents. It is registered in a large number of
countries for numerous applications, including water treatment applications as
well as hygiene and material protection applications.
